Would you be interested/willing to split the Collections:All into two sections? 0-L and M-Z, for example? I've been trying to add the newer collections to the page, and I keep getting a fatal error related to memory usage (see the Talk page). Thanks! --Cinnarose 17:31, 16 November 2008 (EST)

Question regarding images, how does it work when a file does not show all the sizes on the page? This file shows them, but this does not. Is there anyway I can fix it, since the Upscale Push-Up in other sizes does exist on the site, or is that something only an admin can do? Thanks. --Cinnarose 21:23, 16 November 2008 (EST)

Thanks for the advice about the image files, but I'm seeing a similar problem with bow.gif (Ancient Realms) and inline-skate.gif (Full Throttle). I had an idea to add a page to the Wiki for Frequently Asked Questions from the Packrat Forums that are not necessarily related directly to gameplay. As a few examples:

Q: Are we supposed to get 250 credits daily? A: Yes, but this feature is currently not working properly. The DEVs are aware of the problem and are currently working to fix it.

Q: Will cards in the ticket market eventually be available in the credit market and/or through Bonus Draws? A: All cards from current collections will eventually be available for credit purchase in the markets and/or as Bonus Draws. On the other hand, all cards from retired collections will not be released in credit markets or as Bonus Draws.

Q: Are the pop-up messages for feats working in the new packrat? A: The messages that appeared in the old packrat when you feated are not currently implemented. It is not known at this time if this will be implemented in the new packrat.

This would cut down on repetition in the forums. I'd add the page myself, but I'm not sure how to add a new page, or anything to the side navigation bar.

[edit] Ten Ticket Thursday List (and Archive)

Since the DEVs seem intent on releasing 4 retireds every Thursday at the cost of 10 tickets, perhaps having a place to list this week's picks would be useful for quick reference for players? I thought initially of adding it to the "New Releases" page, but after some thought, it doesn't feel appropriate, so perhaps a new page with the current week's picks would be helpful.

We could additionally set it up as an archive, keeping track of which cards were the 10 ticket give aways in a given week, sorted with the most recent week on the top. This would allow newer players to know what they have missed and to also predict which retired might be released next.

Hey, just FYI, you don't need to bother deleting images from the site. It doesn't actually remove anything on the filesystem, so there's no storage benefit. The site's only up to about 70MB of disk space, so it's no big deal to leave them around :) timdorr 12:58, 25 July 2008 (EDT)

Hey Colin! I tried to upload the small image for the Frisbee today, but then I noticed most of your images have three sizes. How do you upload all three sizes as different versions of the same image? I had three images, but only knew how to upload them as 3 separate images.

I suppose this wiki has grown popular enough that I probably don't need to worry about contributing images for new cards, but I was just curious. Thanks!

I know that the capitalization doesn't matter on the wiki, but it does for the images in a utility I built. It's still in it's very early stages, but I have a utility that breaks down recipes and makes it easier to figure out what cards you need. Since collections are added incrementally, I made a script that scrapes info out of the wiki page so that whenever it is updated, I can just click a button and update my utility. It's at http://www.bicman.org/packrat if you want to play around with it.

My ultimate goal is to get it snazzy enough for everyone to be able to use it. Oh, I get all of the images from this site, but since they all came from packrat originally, I was hoping no one would care.

Hey.. I've been thinking that with all the new templates, it'll be relatively not straight-forward to add a new collection. Where would you suggest the instructions for that should be written down? Basically what one would need to do to introduce a new collection, would be to add the collection and its family in the Family template, then upload its icon and insert the filename in the CollectionIcon template, both of which need to be done case-sensitive to the collection name, and that should have it be all set to insert the new {{Collection|...}} tag. I went through and recorded the new colors... It makes everything way too uniform, but then again who knows what's in store. Should I go ahead and manually change the colors, or will you modify the templates to include a family? This is what I have (inside color - outside color):

Yeah, they changed the little icons to match the new color scheme, that's the ones I uploaded. As far as the template goes, you could add another parameter in the template which takes the name of the family, and using an if/else blog uses the correct colors. Additionally, I think the icons could be removed from the 'properties' of the template, and hard-coded in based on the name of the collection (replace spaces with dashes, lowercase all letters and add _family.gif to the end). Not entirely sure how that would be done, but I'm sure it's doable - I'll look into it. I'd suggest creating a separate template for all this, something like New Set or whatnot, just to leave the ones working as they are (since potentially, 3 properties will be removed - icon and colors, and 1 will be added - family). -Jaguarcy (Page | Talk | Pack) 13:21, 22 July 2008 (EDT)

I really disliked the fact that a couple weeks ago all of the retired cards lost the information on how they were originally acquired, being replaced instead with "Card no longer available". That's useful information for people who are trying to complete the old sets, and furthermore I just liked seeing the history of the cards.

However, I understand the interest in making it clear to new players that the cards can no longer be found. I propose a compromise then, like what I've done in the Tiki Island page. I messaged Sandi late last night and asked her not to delete the post because facebook really needs to see these things first hand. We've sent a message to facebook directly that states that if they allow this behaviour to continue we will pursue the matter legally. This usually causes them to do something about it. Considering Diana lives in the same geographical area as me the complaint should have some weight. it should just be cr, not XL. its based on market, kinda like the old levels. no reason to add "XL" just leave it as a credit-flat, imho.
